Mark Thatcher, a Grand Canyon River Guide, couldn't help but notice the discomfort tourists experienced during river trips due in large part to their water-logged sneakers and flimsy, unsupportive flip-flops. For Mark, the solution to this challenge led to the introduction of the first fully supportive sport sandal and the beginning of Teva shoes
